First Harvest
Last night I harvested the first produce from my square foot garden. There was only enough for each of us to have a small sample. Currently there are tons of green grape tomatoes and tiny little green beans that will soon ripen and be ready to harvest. Last night’s little taste was a wonderful preview to what is ahead. I love that I can walk out to the garden and pick what I need for dinner. Mom and Dad shared some freshly dug potatoes with us over the weekend, which I boiled for dinner last night too. I am jealous of their 5,000 sq ft garden. Some day I hope to have an area where I too can plant an enormous garden.
What have you enjoyed from your garden this year already?
I will be having zucchini soon!! Zucchini crusted pizza is awesome!
That sounds good. I just made my first zucchini bread of the year.
Hi Jamie!
I love your blog. I’ve been wanting to create a food blog but I don’t have any idea where to start until I found yours! It inspires me to also make a blog but just don’t know when. Unlike you, I am not a stay at home wife (i dont have kids yet)I work as a deli clerk here in Omaha and planning to go to culinary art school in Metro. I hope everything went well with all my plans and also plans to create a food blog. I love the content of you blog. It’s so amazing how you can do whatever you like at home and done a lot of projects, adding being a mom and a wife! that is so amazing of yours.
