Hello! I am back from a wonderful 10 day vacation across the state of Nebraska with a pit stop in Cheyenne, Wyoming, then down through Colorado. It was WONDERFUL! Colorado is GORGEOUS! We had our minivan packed to the gills.

There was lots of relaxing, swimming, hiking, exploring, and driving.

 

Our vacation stops looked like this. Omaha, NE –> North Platte, NE –> Ogallala, NE (Lake McConaughy) –> Cheyenne, WO –> Fort Collins, CO –> Loveland, CO (Devil’s Backbone) –> Estes Park, CO (Rocky Mountain National Park) –> Boulder, CO (Alex and I each met up with friends here) –> Manitou Springs, CO (Garden of the Gods) then back up to Denver, CO (IKEA!!) –> arrived back in Omaha, NE at 2 am

This is the most serious family vacation we’ve ever attempted. I hope to get back out to Colorado soon. There are about 9 million other photos I took that I haven’t shared.

Now that we are home I am playing catch up. Doing ALL. THE. LAUNDRY., grocery shopping, doing some final work on some freelance recipe development, cleaning out the van, putting away all the camping/vacation gear, and getting ready for my nephew’s birthday party. I can’t wait to return to regular posting schedule next week.
